The future of Cruden Farm is not possible without the support of the general public — our visitors. Every time you take a garden wander or book a garden tour,  it helps keep Cruden Farm alive for everyone to enjoy.

Garden Wander

Cruden Farm is open throughout the year from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), 10 am–4 pm, and once a month on a Sunday (not open Sunday in June, July & August). Visitors are welcome to meander around the magnificent property and enjoy the fruits of Dame Elisabeth’s 80 years of horticultural endeavour.

Extreme Weather

Cruden Farm may have to close to the public on occasions of extreme weather. If you have pre-booked tickets for a day when we cannot welcome you, please get in touch with us to organise a refund or book another day.

Garden Tours

Embark on a captivating 60-minute walking tour at Cruden Farm, a 100-acre estate at the gateway to Mornington Peninsula. Discover Dame Elisabeth Murdoch’s enduring legacy as you immerse yourself in the enchanting inner garden and rich history. Gain a deeper appreciation for the remarkable gift she left for future generations to enjoy. Our next tour date on a Sunday opening will be in 2026. Please keep an eye out for new dates.
