Historic Garden Tour – Australian Heritage Festival 2024 – 1.00pm

As part of this year’s Australian Heritage Festival, on Tuesdays between 18 April until 18 May, you can book a Historic Garden Walking Tour to learn more about the history of the garden and hear tales about Dame Elisabeth and her family’s life at Cruden Farm. The tour takes an hour and meanders through lawns and gravel paths in dappled shade. The tour commences at 1.00 pm sharp and must be pre-booked.

Following the tour, you are welcome to BYO picnic in the gardens or around our ornamental lake. Visit the Walled Gardens designed by famous horticultural landscaper Edna Walling and reinterpreted by Dame Elisabeth and meander along the iconic lemon-scented gum driveway planted 90 years ago. The grand house, extended in the 1930s and stone stables built during the depression, provide a picture-perfect backdrop to your perfect day’s horticultural heritage getaway.
